A cloudy lesson

Have you ever Imagined how clouds are made?

Actually  clouds are made by a guy called a cloudmaker.   He is 75 years old and he is very smart. His real name is Simon Cloudmaker.  His grandson is not a cloud maker but always wanted to be one.  Simon lives in a very amazing mansion with a room filled with cloud formation experiments and the most protected thing is his cloud blower.  Simons cloud blower looks like a long magnifying glass just without the glass.   The colour of the cloud blower is a greyish colour.

How are shapes of the clouds created?

The shapes of the clouds are created by the shape of the cloud blower.  So for example if the cloud blower was in the shape of a star and Simon makes a cloud it will turn out into a shape of a star. Simon has one cloud blower so if he wants to make a shape he turns the cloud blower into a shape.  When Simon is making clouds, the clouds are white but only when he’s happy but whens he is sad he makes clouds that rains and when he is angry he makes storm clouds.

Where are the clouds created?

Simon does not like people watching him make clouds (except his grandson John) so for that Simon has a secret hideout which is invisible to everybody except Simon and his cloud making family. Simon’s hideout is 12,000 feet high with all the other clouds are.  In Simon’s family he is the 23rd cloud maker.

How was the cloud blower created?

The cloud blower was created by Simon’s great great great great grandfather. He created it because he always wanted to make clouds so that was why.  Simon’s great great great grandfather created the cloud blower but Simon created the cloud blower into different shapes so when his grandson had grown up he could create shape clouds.

The Deepest Herrick Secret

I called my picture The deepest Herrick Secret. I drew the Herrick house in two ways the first way was when it was broken,old and needed to be fixed,the second way was when it was fixed and brand new. The mysterious part that I drew was that in the old Herrick house in the cellar I drawed Mrs Herrick and her boyfriend holding hands both dead.  In the new Herrick house I drawed the strange man standing in the veranda. This book might be scary so what type of audience would enjoy this book?

In my picture I tried to show from the book the Herrick house when it was getting fixed. I also drawn one secret, Mrs Herrick getting killed by her own husband but she was the one who ran away with her boyfriend.  When I was drawing my picture I was also trying to get the audience to realise the mysterious person on the veranda and the two dead people in the cellar.  

For my title I did The The Deepest Herrick Secret. The reason I called it that is because the real title is the last Herrick secret  so if it is the last I thought it could be the deepest.  On  my picture I put the title on the top and the colors I colored it in with is red and black because it stands out.

For my picture people who are enjoy books which are mysterious and have spooky secrets will love The last Herrick Secret. You might also like  Too Many Secrets.  I think for my picture the suitable age would be eight years old  and over.  

Lego Making

           

This is photos of what I made out of Lego.  

This was the Lego I used to create a little play area.What we did  was we made something out of Lego, then we took photos of it and send it to our selves.  After we did that we broke the thing we made apart, put the pieces in a bag and wrote our names on it. The next day we went to our buddy class and gave them the bag of Lego pieces and showed them the photo, when they saw what they did was try to remake it with only looking at the photos.    Look at our class Blog to see who won. 

Solar System

The Solar System

The solar system has 8 planets without Pluto. All these planets orbit around the sun and the sun has a gravity that also pulls the planets to the sun.  In the solar system you will find planets, moons, asteroids,comets and other stuff.  What are the inner planets and the outer planets?

       

Firstly,  Pluto is dwarf planet.  It is because of it size but some people do not think it is a planet at all.  The two smallest planets  are Mercury and Pluto.  The two biggest planets are Jupiter and Saturn.  Most planets has their own moons and Mars has Phobos and Deimos.  Earths moon is called The Moon.  Jupiter has four biggest moons which are called Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.

Secondly, there  is one sun unlike there are lots of moons.  The sun is five billion years and it has five billion more years until it burns out.  In Earth  nothing can live without the sun’s energy that it gives us.  In the sun there are 6 layers the layer in the middle is called the core the core holds all the suns energy.  In the galaxy there are billions and billions of stars and the sun is actually one of them.

Thirdly, Out of all of the moons there are seven moons which are  from Earth, Mars and Jupiter.  The biggest moon is not our moon but it is Ganymede, one of the biggest moons from Jupiter.  Jupiter has at least sixteen big moons and even more smaller moons.  Did you know that Pluto is smaller than our moon?

Finally, Asteroid belts are between inner planets and outer planets.  Many scientists believe that debris  (Debris means rubbish or remains of something) in the asteroid belts may be from a planet that never actually formed.  Some big asteroids have been given names which are Ceres, Gaspra, Ida, Itokawa, Mathilde.

The inner planets are Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars.  The outer planets are Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,Neptune.  All these planets are inner and outer planets that means inner is the planets closer  to the sun and the outer means they are  further away from the sun.

 

 

  

 

Rabbit Hutch

Breakers

It was Sunday night and my family and I went to Breakers to have drinks and play on the pool table.  The drinks we had  were a blue Hawaii which my sister had, my brother had a beer like my dad, my mum had  something with a mixture and I  had Chocolate Milkshake it was delicious!

First up was my dad and brother to play pool table it seemed hard but funny.  My brother won the first round but  the second round my dad won.  Later my mum and dad played and I got to do some shots on the pool table. On the next  pool table my brother and sister were against each other.  I was playing as well but it was with only the white ball but I got it into  the hole so at least I scored.

At the table with my mum and dad playing pool it was really cool and it was funny how my mum was playing and laughing.  Since my mum was  playing for the first time my dad helped out a bit.  Later, we all got to eat garlic bread and chips.  After we ate the food my sister played pool against my dad. That was the most funniest game ever because my sister kept  saying it’s gonna be a big one then here I go( but  it’s only a tiny hit.) So its clear who won  which was my …. Dad!    So mainly who won was my Dad and if you don’t believe me here are the scores.
