The Deepest Herrick Secret

I called my picture The deepest Herrick Secret. I drew the Herrick house in two ways the first way was when it was broken,old and needed to be fixed,the second way was when it was fixed and brand new. The mysterious part that I drew was that in the old Herrick house in the cellar I drawed Mrs Herrick and her boyfriend holding hands both dead.  In the new Herrick house I drawed the strange man standing in the veranda. This book might be scary so what type of audience would enjoy this book?

In my picture I tried to show from the book the Herrick house when it was getting fixed. I also drawn one secret, Mrs Herrick getting killed by her own husband but she was the one who ran away with her boyfriend.  When I was drawing my picture I was also trying to get the audience to realise the mysterious person on the veranda and the two dead people in the cellar.  

For my title I did The The Deepest Herrick Secret. The reason I called it that is because the real title is the last Herrick secret  so if it is the last I thought it could be the deepest.  On  my picture I put the title on the top and the colors I colored it in with is red and black because it stands out.

For my picture people who are enjoy books which are mysterious and have spooky secrets will love The last Herrick Secret. You might also like  Too Many Secrets.  I think for my picture the suitable age would be eight years old  and over.

Report about whales

Intro Whales are known  to be a fish because it lives in the water but most people don't realize that whales are mammals because whales feed their babies milk.   

Protection, In 1962 more than 60 000 whales have been killed. It is that so many whales have been killed that whales such as blue whales would become extinct. Norway,Russia and Japan had agreed that whaling had to be stopped. Until 1988 whaling properly had been banned.

Physical body features,Whales have leathery skin and under that is a thick layer of fat called blubber.All whales have two front fins called flippers,and two strong flat tail fins which are called flukes.Some species of whale have a single nostril or a blowhole on top of their  head.Many whales also have a fin on their back which is called a Dorsal fin.

Whale Habitats,Whales live all over the world in the sea,some even live off the coasts of Hawaii. Whales prefer cooler and deeper water such as polar regions so that tells that whales can also be found in areas of Antarctica.Whales travel in pods and in one pod there can be 1-7 whales in one pod.Some whales joins up two pods which is called a super pod and in that super pod there can be 150 whales of any kind in a super pod.

Echo-location, Lots of species which are toothed whales make special sounds which helps locate objects in the water so when it hits an object it will know whether it is big or small moving or dangerous.For dolphins  if it seems to be no danger dolphins  swims closer or if something dangerous lies in that area it swims away in cause of their lives.

conclusion All whales have blubber and the smallest whale to be known is a grey whale.    

   

My famous explorer Mae jemison

Mae Jemison is a famous explorer.   She was  the first African American women to reach space.

Mae Jemison  was born on October 17 1956 in Decatur ,Alabama.On June 4 1987 Mae got space training.  Mae was also the youngest child of Charlie Jemison and she had a brother and a sister.

Her brother Charles  and her sister Dorothy Jemison. Mae was famous and from that she earned hundreds of awards and honorary doctorates.   

When  Mae Jemison was going to space she had gone  into orbit and was aboard  the Endeavor space shuttle on September 12 1992.  At first Mae was a American physician and NASA astronaut.    On Mae second mission the Endeavor blasted off but it carried Mae the first women to reach space.  Mae had lots of trips to space she was also the first to dance in space and while doing that she discovered that in space you feel no weight and all your body parts get weakened and sore.

Mae Jemison  had retired from NASA in 1993 and was on TV quite a lot of times and was also appeared on an episode of star trek the ‘Next generation’ on that she was a dancer. Mae Jemison had earned 2 undergraduate degrees and a Medical degrees.  Mae jemison had also have 9 honorary doctorates of science.

Mae was a very famous explorer.  Mae was a dancer,nurse,and a very brilliant astronaut.
